In today’s litigious environment many people are understandably concerned about losing what they have worked hard to accumulate during their lifetime to creditors or predators as the result of lawsuits. Planning accomplished before a claim arises may be effective to protecting property from seizure in case of future lawsuits.

Our firm provides advice and consultation to individuals about legal actions that they can take to protect their property from future claims. We evaluate and review each client’s individual situation to assess risks and to develop recommendations of actions that a client might utilize to minimize exposure of the client’s property to lawsuits. We then assist the client with the implementation those actions that the client decides to take.

Asset protection techniques include using state exemptions, insurance, retitling of assets, gifting, formation of entities, family trusts, family limited partnerships, family limited liability companies, domestic asset protection trusts, and offshore trusts.
